A Filipino rum made with molasses produced on the island of Negros, which is apparently locally known as ‘black gold’.
The spirit is then aged in American oak cask for a period, before being infused with local sugar – producing an intensely sweet final product.
The result is a product with notes of intense cinnamon, vanilla, caramel, cloves, ginger bread, brown sugar, treacle, toffee and sweet oak.
Excellent as an after dinner dessert dram, or splashed into cocktails to sweeten them up!
