A truly exquisite small batch Anejo Tequila produced by Don Julio. This elegantly shaped bottling pays homage to the founder of the company, Don Julio Gonzalez-Frausto Estrada. Way back in 1942, at the tender age of just 17 years old, Don Julio distilled his iconic Tequila for the first time, and it is this year that features in the Tequila’s name. This is an 100% blue weber agave tequila, using plants grown on the highlands of Jalisco for between 7 and 10 years until reaching full maturatiy, ensuring the full agave flavour in the final product. The spirit is distilled solely in pot still 6, and has been slowly matured for at least 30 months in new American White Oak casks, that provide vanilla, caramel and toffee flavours to the earthy spice and herbal nature of the Agave distillate. Perhaps one of the very finest Tequilas we’ve ever tried, this is an excellent sipping spirit, and a fitting tribute to the company’s founder. As this is a small batch production, stocks are limited and drinkers should snap up the opportunity to try this Tequila whilst they still can.
