A marvellous single vintage Armagnac from Domaine le Basque.

Domaine le Basque is found in the Gers Region of Armagnac, in the central-western part of Bas-Armagnac.

The Domaine makes its home in Lannemaignan, a tiny French town that has only 100 or so residents. The terroir here is perfect for the growing of Armagnac grapes, with stony and slightly acidic soil.

The spirit has been traditionally distilled in an alembic and aged in French oak casks, producing an Armagnac with notes of ripe plums and red grapes, vanilla, nutmeg, cloves, flowers, old oak, dark chocolate, toffee, dried fruits, candied ginger and acidic green apples.

This bottling is an excellent example of high quality Armagnac – full bodied, rich and delicious.
