One of the all time classic vermouths on the market today. French producers Dolin remains one of the world’s last few independent vermouth-makers, and the only creator of the Vermouth de Chambéry.
Based on Ugni Blanc wine (the same grape used to make France’s most famous alcoholic export, Cognac), over 35 different alpine herbs and spices, and sweetened with 130 grams of sugar a litre.
The result is a coppery scarlet, zesty and spicy vermouth, with notes of cola, citrus rind, stewed fruit, quinine, tobacco smoke, chopped herbs and cinnamon.
Bottled at 16% ABV, this has a medium body, and is a perfect addition to all cocktails that require a red vermouth.
