Single Malt Batch number four from one of the most exciting distilleries in Ireland.
Dingle, found in the wild peninsula that shares its name, was founded in 2012, as part of the ongoing Renaissance of Irish distilling. After making their name with some mighty fine gin, this series of small batch single malt bottlings has really begun to establish them in the whisk(e)y world.
This dram is triple distilled in traditional Irish fashion, and has been matured in combination of sherry, Port and Bourbon casks.
The result is a complex and well balanced whiskey, which possesses flavours of chocolate, vanilla, dried fruits, coffee, classic Irish grassy caramel, red wine, oak, apricot, malt loaf, ginger, toffee, cloves, cinnamon and citrus rind.
Bottled at 46.5% ABV and without either chill filtration or colouration, this is a fully flavoured, succulent whiskey.
