A miniature bottling of this characterful single malt from Craigellachie.
Known for its distinctive muscular spirit produced by the distillery’s traditional wormtubs, Craigellachie has one of the more unique house-styles of the Speyside region. This dram is also notable for its unusual year statement of 13 years, a point of difference with the standard 10 and 12 year old bottlings we’re used to.
This bottling offers up notes of grilled pineapple, followed by a wave of flowery apples, meaty malt, barrel char, oily hazelnuts and peanuts, some raspberries, peppery spice, vanilla oak, and buttered toast.
Bottled at 46% ABV and without chill filtration, this is one of the more interesting entry level drams available.
This small format is ideal for those wanting to try Craigellachie without committing to a full scale bottle.
