The Rosso expression in Cinzano’s superb 1757 range of Torino vermouths.
The 1757 series was first launched in 2015, and is produced in homage to the company’s founders, Giovanni Giacomo and Carlo Stefano, as they established Cinzano in 1757.
The vermouth is made with red wine, vanilla, wormwood, and “carefully selected additional extracts and herbs from its traditional recipe repertoire”, and fortified with a neutral alcohol.
The final product is rich in notes of red fruit, figs, dates, plums, black cherry, tobacco smoke, bittersweet wormwood, red wine, liquorice and mixed herbs.
A much higher quality of vermouth than the standard Cinzano, this is delicious when paired with good-quality gin in a Negroni.
