A big bottling of this impressive El Salvadoran rum.

Obsidiana is named after Obsidian – volcanic glass that was highly prized by the Mayan people.

The rum itself is very well-aged: a blend of three distillates matured between 11 and 14 years in American oak barrels and American oak former Bourbon barrels.

The blending is performed by Gabriela Ayala, who has complete control of the production.

The result is a spirit that delivers notes of lychees, fresh sugar cane, lime rind, brown sugar, old oak, cinnamon, cashews, toast, tobacco and vanilla.

This rum is beautifully presented too.
