Chateau du Tariquet is one of the largest and most esteemed Domaines in the Armagnac region. Traditionally crafting a spirits in the Bas-Armagnac style using their ancient direct-wood-fired continuous still, Chateau du Tariquet are known for their intensely flavoursome Armagnacs. The Domaine is found on the edge of the town of Eauze in the Gers region, the area is well known for its iron rich, rocky acidic soil. Whilst this sounds off-putting, it is actually perfect for the cultivating of grapes to make delicious Armagnacs. This bottle is a fine example, aged for at least 7 years in French oak casks, and made from blend of 60% Ugni-Blanc grapes (for zesty freshness) and 40% Baco grapes (for strength of flavour). An aromatic, oaky spirit, rich with fruits and baked pastry flavours.
