Pommeau de Normandie is a blend of Calvados and sweet apple juice, which has been married in oak barrels.

The result is a sweet, juicy beverage weighing in at 17% ABV – fortified wine territory. Indeed, you can enjoy this bottling much the same way, after a meal or alongside chocolate and dessert.

It is also open to all sorts of experimentation from bartenders, it is easy to see how this could be used to give a bit of apple flavour to a cocktail – perhaps as the sweetening element in a Calvados Old Fashioned.
