It originally gained its name after being established as the dram of choice in gentleman’s clubs. The whisky has received Royal Warrants from the last 5 consecutive British Monarchs. During prohibition, one of the biggest customers of the company was a one Al Capone. In recent years, the whisky has had a resurgence due to the popularity of the show Mad Men.
