This whisky’s name translates as “Smokey Two” as it is the second bottling in the Toiteach series, Bunnahabhain’s much-loved, and rare peated bottling from the usually smoke-free distillery.
This dram features some sherry matured whiskies, giving it a good dose of spicy, fruity sweetness, alongside the spirit’s powerful peat smoke.
Toiteach a Dhà offers up notes of toasted nuts, with a little chilli spice and honey, before a powerful peat alongside some touches of salt, bittersweet dark chocolate, red fruit, sultanas, cinnamon, nutmeg, charred oak and vanilla.
Bottled at a satisfying 46.3% ABV, and without chill filtration or artificial colouration.
A delectable peated dram from Bunnahabhain which stands up to some of Islay’s more established smoky bottlings.
