The 2013 vintage of Bruichladdich’s highly regarded Islay Barley single malt.

This is the eight release in the series, and uses barley grown on seven different farms on Islay in 2012. The grain was then dried, malted and distilled by the distillery in 2013.

This whisky was matured in a mixture of first-fill American whiskey barrels, and European wine casks including Ribera del Duero, Syrah, and Pauillac. The result is a whisky of incredible balance and character.

Drinkers can expect notes of salted peaches, pears, creamy butter on toast, sweet malt, vanilla, lemon rind, lightly toasted oak, honey, grapes, nutmeg, cloves, orange peel and sea spray.

Bottled at 50% ABV, this whisky has body and depth beyond its years.
