One of two whiskies released by Black Bottle as part of the inaugural Alchemy Series, Double Cask combines malt spirit finished in Sherry casks with grain whisky matured in red wine casks.

The final product is a well balanced and fruity dram, with notes of cherries, blackcurrants, raspberries, vanilla, coffee, toffee, clean grain sweetness, weighty malt and a little gentle cinnamon spice.

Bottled at the higher proof of 46.3% ABV, this gives the whisky extra body and warmth.
