A small batch bottling of Benrinnes from the popular Signatory Un-Chillfiltered range.

This 2010 vintage single malt has been aged in a pair of Oloroso sherry casks for 12 years, imparting delicious sweet, fruity and spicy notes to the whisky.

This dram offers notes of caramelised baked pears and apples, sweet thick malt, blackcurrant cordial, floral honey, almonds, baking spice, sultanas, brazil nuts, hot chocolate, sherried oak, banana bread and butter.

Sherried Benrinnes has a stellar reputation, and this is an excellent example of the style.

I'm glad that Signatory still have these properly sherry matured malts. Granted, whisky boom has inflicted heavy casualties in quality wise, but some Signatory bottlings are still very good quality and reasonable priced.
