A tasty peated whisky from tiny Highland distillery Edradour, forming part of the highly esteemed Straight From The Cask series.
Matured for 11 years in a single Oloroso sherry butt (number 18), having been distilled on February 2nd 2007, and bottled on September 18th 2018, this aging has added delightful fruity notes to the smoky spirit.
The result is a lovely, fruity dram, packed with notes of barbequed plums and smoky dried fruits, grassy peat, salted caramel, mixed spice, coffee and burnt cask.
Bottled at a phenomenal cask strength of 61% ABV, and without chill filtration or colouration, rich in flavour and texture.
A peat-bomb with a classic Highland undertone, this is a decadent and delicious whisky.
Only 9,55 bottles were produced.
