The first release in a new series from Saint Lucian rum-makers Admiral Rodney.

The Officer Releases are a series of cask finished rums. This particular bottling is a single vintage rum, distilled in March 2006. The spirit was initially aged for 13 years in American oak casks, before being finished for six months in former Port casks.

The final result is a rich, decadent dram with notes of juicy plums, dark chocolate, cinnamon, cloves, orange rind, vanilla, banana, pineapple, dried fruits, dark oak, and molasses.

The rum is presented at 45% ABV for a little more body and warmth.
