A wonderful St Lucian rum from Admiral Rodney, joining their mini-series of ‘Battle of the Saints’ bottlings. Like the HMS Princessa release, this rum celebrates one of the ships that Admiral Rodney commanded to victory against the French Navy in that conflict. Royal Oak is also a suitable name for a barrel aged spirit!
Made entirely out of Coffey still distilled rum, the spirits contained in this blend are aged between seven and 12 years, giving this rum an extraordinary depth and complexity.
Drinkers should expect bold notes of old oak, toffee, molasses, coffee, chocolate, vanilla, dried fruit, woodspice, dried pineapple and mango, and treacle tart.
A fantastic example of the extra old rum style, this is a luxurious sipping rum.
