A Tequila that sits near the top of Jose Cuervo’s range. Unlike their standard offerings, this is an 100% blue agave Tequila. The spirit is produced from the finest blue agave, before being aged in traditional small casks: in this case a mixture of American oak and French oak. The American oak proportion is aged for 3 years, for added depth and roundedness, whilst the younger French oak matured spirit adds sprightliness and power. This produces an incredible rich and succulent Tequila, with a slight smoke and a superb spiced agave flavour. On the nose, this Tequila opens with fresh agave, vanilla oak, slight spice and a hint of smoke. The palate is rich with fruity agave, slight cut hay, green grass, oak, vanilla and a touch of dark fruit. The finish is long and oaky, with a lasting agave and toffee note. A tremendous Tequila, which is a real cut above the standard.
