Williams Chase like to make the point that all gin really starts with vodka, and indeed, the spirit is essentially a botanicals flavoured vodka.
This is as simple as gin (juniper vodka) can get. It uses Williams Chase vodka as the base, but has just one botanical: juniper. The berries are infused with the gin in small batches of only 1000 bottles at a time.
Whilst this is something of a practical joke on the industry, this spirit actually (and somewhat ironically) allows the drinker to get to grips with the very basis of what makes gin. The juniper only approach creates a spirit with a clean, piney and spicy profile, dominated by floral juniper and cracked black pepper.
This bottle has two labels, one reads “Single Botanical Gin” and the other reads “Juniper Vodka”. Which is this spirit? Does it matter? You decide.
