A delightful single malt whisky from a mystery Orkney distillery, bottled by Signatory Vintage for their Un-Chillfiltered range.

Just two distilleries are operational on Orkney – Scapa and Highland Park – as for which this is, you’ll have to decide for yourself.

Aged for 12 years in a pair of Hogshead casks, giving the spirit plenty of time to develop notes of heather honey, apricots, pears, sugared barley, a touch of sea spray, some slightly smoky espresso, vanilla and baking spice.

A really well-crafted dram, bottled at 46% without colouration.
