Produced by the Lexington Brewing and Distilling company, Town Branch has been named after the water that runs below the Kentucky city of Lexington.
Aged in new charred white oak barrels, the spirit has notes of smoking wood, dark sugar, cherries, cinnamon, pineapple, vanilla, sweet orange, red apple candy, a little mineral and some subtle green herbs.
After maturation, the whiskey is diluted using limestone-filtered calcium rich water.
Light, but impressively flavoursome.
