One of the best looking bottles around, this is part of Douglas Laing’s tremendous Regional Malts series. This is a blend of malts from the highland region. The name and packaging is a reference to the Robbie Burns’s poem “To A Mouse”, which hails that “timorous beastie”. Despite the name, this is a whisky of powerful flavour! Intense tropical fruits and soft Highland spices lead this whisky. The palate is rich with honey and malt notes, accompanied by a dense chewy mouthfeel. This whisky is non-chill-filtered, free from any caramel colouring and bottled at 46.8% ABV. A delicious dram indeed!
