A gin produced by a very small distillery in the Bavarian city of Munich.
First launched in 2008, this is a classic dry gin, including botanicals of cubeb, angelica root, lavender, ginger root, orange blossom, coriander, lemon peel and juniper. Most notably though, is the gin’s inclusion of Bavarian hops, which have made the beer of the region so famous.
This produces a spirit with a fresh bitterness and light floral citrus character, ideal for the creation of all manner of delicious gin cocktails.
The spirit is bottled at a warming 45% ABV, which allows the flavours to carry through.
The brand takes their name from Henry the Lion, Duke of Bavaria who established the city of Munich in 1157.
