A bottling first released back in 2016 as part of Speyside’s (the distillery, not the region) relaunch as SPEY.

Trutina takes its name from the Latin word meaning balance, or “scales”, expressing the essence of this dram precisely.

A well poised offering, Trutina has been matured in former Bourbon American oak barrels.

The result is a buttery, delicate whisky with notes of white chocolate, vanilla, sweet Bourbon oak, creamy nutmeg and cloves, white peach, orange juice, flowers and crisp malt.

A refreshing dram, which maintains a good medium body at 46% ABV.

A great daily drinker option from this overlooked distillery.
