A surprising bottling from the Spey (formerly known as Speyside) distillery, one of the most southerly in the Speyside region. This range was originally launched for the increasingly important Taiwanese market, but has gradually been introduced to Europe.
First launched in late 2016, Fumare takes its name from the Latin word for “smoky” which indicates the nature of this whisky, a peated spirit. The whisky is oily and rich, with notes of barrel char, light, slightly coastal peat, peanuts and caramel.
Bottled at 46% ABV, this whisky is non-chillfiltered and natural in colour. Just 18,000 bottles were produced worldwide, making it somewhat difficult to find.
