This is a Dutch gin made from 9 different botanicals. Rather than distilling all the botanicals together in one distillation run, as you normally would, each of these 9 botanicals are distilled separately, and subsequently allowed to rest for 1 month before the distiller is allowed to “marry” the different distillates. These 9 botanicals are juniper berries, vanilla, cardamom, iris root, fresh orange, angelica root, fresh lemon, coriander, and liquorice root. This gin has picked up a number of awards over the years, including one for Best Gin at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in 2011.
