A white rum from Santiago de Cuba, which is named after Cuba’s second largest city.
Previously only sporadically available in Europe, this high quality brand seems to be finally getting some recognition. It is very popular in its home country.
This is an aged white rum, having been matured in oak barrels for three years. The spirit is distilled in column stills.
The rum light and crisp, and mostly designed to be mixed. This bottling serves up a big hit of powdered sugar sweetness, alongside slight flavours of tobacco, leather, banana, coconut and almond.
Really delicious when paired with cola and lime for a Cuba Libre.
