A fascinating rum from Vietnam, produced by the Sampan Distillerie d’Indochine.
Vietnam is home to plentiful sugar cane plantations, so it’s no surprise that delicious rums are made in the South East Asian nation.
This stronger bottling has been produced in a traditional “French still” at the Sampan distillery, which is surrounded by exquisite beaches. The distillery uses only Quang Nam province sugar cane, valued highly for its quality.
They continue to harvest by hand, and ensure maximum freshness by juicing the sugar cane within 12 hours of harvest.
The distillery’s hard work has paid off with this rum, a delicious bottling, made in the Agricole style, that is packed with intense flavours of sugar cane, earthy spice, subtle flowers, peppery spice, vanilla and lime rind.
A great alternative to the French Caribbean rums.
