The straight rye whiskrey from the Roughstock distillery in Montana deviates from the norm, and is distilled from a mash bill of 100% rye grain, which is very unique as many rye whiskies are often only made with 60–80% rye. It is matured in toasted and heavily charred American white oak barrels which perfectly complements the 100% rye mash bill. This is a spicy and herbal whiskey, only with a slight bit of toffee sweetness – Just like a good rye should be!
