Another addition to Ron Jeremy’s line of “adult rums”. Known for his performance in somewhat graphic films, Ron Jeremy has turned his hand to rum, punning on the Spanish name for the spirit, Ron. Despite this brand’s unlikely origins, their spirits have quickly become something of a cult hit, gaining an envious reputation. This particular bottling builds on the success of the 7 year old Panama rum, though it is in fact a blend. Ron de Jeremy XO takes spirits from pot and column stills, and from Barbados, Trinidad and Guyana, marrying the different styles in American oak barrels. The rum is aged in a Solera system, with an average of 15 years. This blend works wonderfully well, with a delightful sugar-laden character, and an excellent balance between the darker and fresher rum styles. The extra age gives this rum a little more complexity, with deep oaky flavours and rich vanilla notes. Top drawer stuff.
