A delightful peach liqueur from Distilleries et Domaines de Provence.
Made with three different kinds of peach: Cardinale, Coronet and Junegold, Rinquinquin à la Pêche also uses late-harvest peach leaves to really boost the fruity flavour. The peaches and leaves are macerated separately in alcohol and Lubéron white wine. The liquid from the maceration is then mixed with the white wine, whilst the peach solids are distilled again to produce an intense peachy essence. This is then blended with sugar cane syrup and the peach infused wine to produce the aperitif.
The result is an intensely peachy liqueur, with notes of faint herbs, verdant peach leaf, flowers, some lemony citrus, spice, white peaches, white wine and some vermouth like qualities.
Delicious mixed with tonic, or drizzled over fruit salad when dining al fresco.
