A wonderful take on this classic liqueur by Plymouth, the only distillery to have a gin variety entirely to themselves. Black Friar’s distillery has been at the same site in Plymouth since 1793, and indeed, this Sloe bottling is itself historic, dating back to an 1883 recipe.
This is a superbly bittersweet liqueur, rich in berry flavours from both the sloes and the juniper, producing a luxurious and sweet spirit. The sweet sloes are an ideal match for Plymouth’s earthier style of gin.
This is perfect as an after-dinner drink, or a warming sipper in the winter. Sloe gin also has a variety of uses in cocktails.
