A single origin, single vintage rum from the masterful Plantation rum company.

This bottling was distilled from molasses at the Destilerías Unidas S.A. de Peru. The spirit was aged in Peru in former Bourbon casks and Slovonian oak barrels for 11 years, before spending two years finishing in Ferrand Cognac casks in France.

The result is a fruity rum that offers up bold notes of vanilla, cinnamon, mango, nuts, dried apricot, cinnamon, cloves, cedarwood, old oak, Cognac rancio and toffee.

Bottled at 43.1% ABV for a touch more body and warmth, this is a well balanced, rather dry rum.
