A soft, approachable whisky produced by Spencerfield Spirit Company, the same lot behind the more powerful “Sheep Dip”. Pig’s Nose is a far gentler affair, with the name taken as the spirit is said to be “as smooth as a pig”s nose”. The whisky was created by another nose, Master Blender Richard Paterson! A lovely blend of grain and malt Scotch whiskies, Pig’s Nose serves up sweet cereal aromas on the nose, with a soft malty edge and a nice yeastiness. The palate is as soft as could be expected, with a creamy buttery mouthfeel and flavours of iced buns, sea spray and roasted malt. The finish is medium in length, with salted caramel, vanilla and a bittersweet cereal note. A great value blend which is surprisingly moreish!
