A fascinating gin which is testament to the powerful of vacuum distillation.
Oxley gin is made using cold distillation in a vacuum still – which allows the spirit to evaporate at -5Co and recondense at -100Co. This allows the delicate botanicals to infuse the spirit without their fragrance or flavour being damaged. For example, Oxley is able to use fresh frozen citrus peel, which has a much more sophisticated flavour than the typical dried peel that is used in ginmaking. Oxley Gin is small batch distilled, and bottled in individually numbered bottles .
The result is a clean, oily and zesty gin with notes of gentle pine, juniper, supple spice, aniseed, flower blossom and chopped herbs.
Bottled at 47% ABV for extra body and depth, this is a powerful, well-crafted gin that asserts itself well in cocktails, but is also delicious served with just a few ice cubes and a juniper garnish.
