All the way back in the 1700’s and 1800’s England was the largest importer of champagne in the world, which meant they had lots of empty champagne bottle to spare. These empty bottles had to be used for something, so it became customary for many gin shops to bottle their gins in old champagne bottles. Bottled in a champagne-style bottle, the Old English Gin pays homage to the old-time gin shops. This gin is distilled with 11 different botanicals in what Hammer & Son claim to be the oldest pot still still in use in England today.
