A limited edition genever from Old Duff, made with 100% Malt Wine.
This genever was entirely made in Holland, with the grain milled, fermented, distilled and bottled in the nation. This genever uses a mashbill of two-thirds rye to one-third malted barley, with the grains fermented for five days. The malt wine is flavoured with English Bramling hops and Juniper.
The spirit was distilled three times in a traditional pot stil at the De Tweelingh distillery in Schiedam, and is styled by the company as a ‘single malt’.
The final product is a seriously malty genever, with subtle flavours of vanilla, sweet grain, rye spices, juniper, hoppy beer and fresh bread.
Bottled at 45% ABV, this is thought to be one of only two brands of genever permitted to carry the Seal of Schiedam.
