Old Bardstown of a product of the Kentucky Bourbon Distillers, also known as Willett, who is located in Bardstown, Kentucky. This was not distilled by Willett, but rather sourced from another Kentucky distillery, believed to be Heaven Hill, but it’s not confirmed. For the price, we think this is a very fine 4 year old bourbon!
The Old Bardstown brand has been around for a while, and takes its name from a 1950’s race horse. A horse which was handicapped, yet still raced to win numerous races, earning a total of $628,752, which is quite a bit of money! This whiskey takes the name of Old Bardstown to honour the persistence and perseverance of this horse.
