The dark horse of the William Grant and Sons stable, Monkey Shoulder has proven itself to be one of the breakout stars of the whisky industry in recent years. Monkey Shoulder takes its name from a work-related-injury that maltmen often suffered from: developed through the action of hand turning the grain at the floor maltings. This whisky is a blended malt, mixing together three of William Grant’s malt whiskies: Glenfiddich, Balvenie and Kininvie. The result is a supple, drinkable Speysider, with notes of vanilla, caramel and green apples. An excellent option for daily drinking or mixing into cocktails, this whisky is even better value in this larger 1 litre bottle!
