The 2018 edition of Midleton’s high regarded, and always eagerly awaited Very Rare expression. This bottling is the 35th batch of this superb series.

This bottling contains some of the rarest, finest and oldest stock in the extensive Midleton revserves. Produced mixture of hand selected casks of single pot still and single grain whiskies, the spirit used has been aged in lightly charred former Bourbon casks for between 12 and 28 years. Master Distiller Brian Nation has carefully overseen the process.

The result is a sweet and vanilla-led whiskey, with a powerful core of toffee’d, grassy single pot still character. Additional flavours of citrus rind, old oak, cinnamon, clove, cracked black pepper, apricot, bananas, leather, flower perfumed notes and a good dose of charred cask.

Presented with a handsome, contemporarily designed wooden box and decanter style bottle, this is a release that oozes class throughout.
