Another fascinating gin to come out of Belgium.
This striking offering is made with the fruit of the Marula tree. Marula fruit is known for its tart, citrus-like, flavour. Indeed, Marula fruit contain about eight times the amount of Vitamin C found in an orange.
Elephants have shown a particular fondness for Marula, eating nearly every part of the tree. Moreover, Elephants are known to eat the fermented fruit of the Marula, occasionally getting tipsy! It is this story that first inspired the creators of this gin.
Alongside Marula, this gin uses botanicals of rose, orange blossom, coriander, lavender, and juniper.
The result is a sweet, floral gin, with some strong citrusy notes and a little exotic stone fruit.
A really enjoyable and unique spirit, beautifully presented. Gin-lovers will not want to miss out on this one.
