A Spanish liqueur which is a best-seller in its home country.

Cuarenta y Tres translates simply as “43”. The liqueur is so named as it is made with no less than 43 herbs and spices. The majority of these are kept secret, but we do know that the bottling contains: orange, lemon, vanilla, black tea, and coriander.

The overwhelming flavour is vanilla, accompanied by some milky chocolaty flavours, peppery spice, white sugar, some rooty spice, honey, cinnamon and sweet citrus.

Used in a great many cocktails in Spain, this is a pleasing, sweet liqueur that is a joy to work into drinks.
