Another lovely looking new Irish whiskey to try, named after Lambay Island, found off Ireland’s East Coast.
Whilst the whiskey is produced elsewhere, the spirit is diluted to bottling proof with natural Lambay spring water from Trinity Well.
This is a classic Irish blended whiskey, produced from a mixture of grain and malt, and triple distilled for a pure, clean flavour profile. This dram has been initially aged in former Bourbon casks before a finishing period in former Cognac casks, producing a complex and sophisticated flavour profile in the whiskey.
Lambay Small Batch serves up flavours of citrus rind, toasted spices, oily almonds and walnuts, grain sweetness, malt, pressed flowers, peppery spice, oak, grapes, Cognac and toffee.
The whiskey is presented with a suave, tuxado-wearing puffin on the label (Lambay Island is known for its Puffins).
