A high quality Guatemalan rum produced by Botran and bottled by La Maison du Rhum.
Made using “virgin sugar cane honey”, the spirit has been distilled in column stills, before being aged at high altitude in former Bourbon barrels (some of which had been retoasted).
The rum is aged in the Solera system, whereby older rums mixed with younger rums as the spirit is bottled, producing a great consistency and complexity of spirit.
The result is a delightful, Agricole-style rum that serves up notes of grassy cane, vanilla, roasted nuts, pineapple, caramel, mango, brown sugar, coconut, fragrant sandlewood and some drying oak.
Bottled at a warming 55% ABV, the rum is full bodied and satisfying.
Just 6,857 bottles were produced.
