A fascinating whisky from the Glann Ar Mor distillery in Brittany, Northern France. Like the other whisky-producing nations of Ireland and Scotland, Brittany has a Celtic history, celebrated by the label design of this dram.
Somewhat interestingly, this single malt has been peated, giving it a wonderful smoky tang.
The whisky has been aged in former Bourbon barrels, producing a dram with notes of tropical fruits (pineapple, banana and mango particularly), toffee, vanilla, cinnamon spice, toasted malt, burnt oak, earthy peat and coastal sea spray.
Bottled at 46% ABV and without chill filtration, this whisky is intense and satisfying with a full mouthfeel.
