A new addition to India’s burgeoning single malt whisky distillation industry, Kamet is produced in northern India from six-row barley grown at the foot of the Himalayas.
The spirit is then aged in ex-bourbon American oak, ex-wine French oak, and ex-Sherry casks.
As a result, this dram offers notes of sticky date pudding, baked apples, old oak, blackcurrants, liquorice, white pepper, vanilla and toasted malt.
An excellent example of a multiple-cask maturation.
