A travel exclusive released in 2019, this Irish whiskey was advertised with the tagline “Proof that good things come in threes”.

Indeed, the emphasis is very much on the number three with this whiskey – with its title referring to both Jameson’s triple distillation regime, both also the three casks used to create the dram.

The spirit has been aged in a combination of former Bourbon, sherry and Malaga wine casks, producing a dram of complexity and depth. Production was overseen by Billy Leighton, Midleton Distillery’s Master Blender.

The Triple Triple serves up flavours of lemon peel, vanilla, confectioners sugar, dusty oak, apricot jam, prunes, caramelised apples, crunchy malt and grassy cereals, a little burnt toffee and cream.

A rather delicious dram, and great value for money in this 1 liter format.
