One of the core expressions of perhaps the oldest extant spirits company in the United Kingdom, J&B was founded all the way back in 1749, trading Italian liqueurs. This is a blended malt, known as the Exception and is aged for at least 12 years. The majority of the malts used in this whisky hail from the Speyside region, and as such, it has a light, honeyed quality with superb balance and approachability. Very tasty whisky, and considering that it is all malt and at least 12 years old, this bottle represents a real bargain.
