A well aged single malt produced at the Loch Lomond distillery (most likely Scotland’s most versatile distillery, capable of producing several kinds of malt and grain whisky).
Inchmurrin takes its name from the large island found in Loch Lomond, Britain’s largest inland lake. Lomond’s products received a rebrand in 2015.
The whisky itself has been double distilled in Lomond’s pot stills. The spirit is aged for 18 years, and has developed a rich complexity.
Inchmurrin 18 possesses flavours of caramel, grassy malt, orange zest, lemon, bananas, pineapple, peach, vanilla, ginger, soft oak, dried fruit, chocolate, ginger, bright pears, almond and toasted hazelnut.
Bottled at 46% ABV, this whisky has a good weight and depth.
